Welcome to MCTEC
The Marion County Technical Education Center opened its doors to the students of Marion County for the first time in the fall of 1968. MCTEC has an outstanding history of serving the needs of area students with relevant technical instruction and career-building educational opportunities. The school is unique among Marion County schools in the fact that facilities, instructors, tools and equipment have been brought together in one place to realistically represent careers in which students can choose to gain skill training. Students attend MCTEC from Marion High School, Mullins High School, Creek Bridge High School, Southside Success Academy and several private schools. The eight programs offered at MCTEC represent six of the nationally identified career clusters. High school students can earn two credits per sememter of study totalling eight credits for successful completion of a two-year program.
